OUR MISSION
Our mission is to empower young girls through the sport of wrestling. Our program is dedicated to fostering physical strength, mental resilience, and self-confidence. We strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment where young girls and women can develop their skills, build lifelong friendships, and embrace the values of teamwork, determination, and leadership. By instilling these values in our athletes, we aim to develop not only skilled wrestlers, but respectful, resilient, and compassionate individuals who will make a positive impact on and off the mat.

It’s essential that girls are given the same opportunities as boys to learn, grow, and excel through the sport of wrestling. I'm proud to help establish this club, where every young woman can experience the transformative benefits wrestling has to offer, from physical and mental strength to confidence and resilience. Wrestling has had a profound impact on my life, both on and off the mat, and I’m honored to create a space where girls can discover those same empowering lessons while breaking down barriers in the sport.

Participating in sports is vital for developing physical and emotional skills that benefit all areas of life. Girls need equal access to sports opportunities. My experience in male-dominated ice hockey, with supportive female coaches, shaped my journey to becoming a Division I goalie. I believe in being a role model for girls in wrestling, inspired by the positive impact I've seen on my sons. I'm excited to bring these experiences to girls through the DragonFly Wrestling Club.

My coaching philosophy for girls' wrestling focuses on empowering young women to build confidence, strength, and resilience in a sport where they can break barriers. I aim to create a supportive environment that encourages growth, teamwork, and self-belief. Wrestling teaches discipline and determination, and my goal is to help each girl realize her potential, both as an athlete and a strong, confident leader.
